I suspect everyone knows a grown up woman who has settled for a life she wishes was different or traded her dream for a man or for something that wasn't what she really wanted.... If she had just stopped to think her decisions through, then she may not have settled or traded.
So here's your chance.
Don't settle. Don't trade. Think of how you want life to be. Dream it and then take steps toward your dream.

SKYSCRAPER
The song Skyscraper by Demi Lovato is a very inspirational song. With all Demi has been through with her career, and personal problems she is still trying to inspire her fans to rise above everything and be a "skyscraper".
"You can take everything I have" is from her song, I believe this quote is important to me in the song because of her show Sonny With Chance is no longer showing and changed to So Random. The problems Demi had were mainly from bullying which we discuss a lot about in school but, it's different when we see a celebrity, and role model facing trouble with it. Demi went into a depression where she cut herself and had an eating disorder. Demi took a big step by herself when she checked HERSELF into rehab. I believe this is a big deal because everyone says the first step in fixing something is recognizing you have a problem and her checking herself in shows she has a problem and knows she has the problem.
"Go on and try to tear me down" also from her song show how the media is attempting to make her seem like she is no longer worth anything because of the problems she has/had. "All my windows still are broken but I'm standing on my feet" shows that she still has some problems but, they are not as bad as they once were.
Though the entire song is inspirational the most meaningful quote I think is "I will be rising from the ground like a skyscraper". The reason for this is although we go through hard times and don't always make the best choices we can always rise up and above the problems we experience.

IT'S WHO YOU ARE
I just finished watching the movie Secretariat. I had no idea how inspirational it would be regarding the main female character, Penny. This was a great movie! And to think, it is a true story: wow!
During the movie you learn what it takes for Penny to win her own race. At one point she says "Life is about seeing how far you can run." She risks a lot to achieve her dreams.
If you watch it or have seen it, please comment regarding your thoughts.
Oh, and there is a fabulous song at the end. Here's the link:
IT'S WHO YOU ARE
Thanks!

UNTIL
Don't follow any advice, no matter how good, until you feel as deeply in your spirit as you think in your mind that the counsel is wise.

IF YOU PROMISE NOT TO TELL....
At Kings Island yesterday I overheard two girls chatting. I couldn't help but hear them because we were standing in line. The conversation went like this:
girl 1: "I'll tell you something if you promise not to tell."
girl 2: "Ok."
girl 1: "She was talking bad about you when you weren't with us."
girl 2: "Really?"
And then it was time to get on the ride so we parted ways. Their discussion reminded me of things I hear girls say to one another all the time. Now, what do you think happened after their conversation? Obviously there is a girl 3 somewhere. What do you think?
